Taiwanese Mask Review - GSH Extravagant Light Whitening Mask

Let's talk about Taiwanese face mask today, the brands I know about Taiwanese brand for masks are just limited to My Beauty Diary, Naruko, Sexy Look, and...I think that's all?

I'm currently more obsessed to Korean and Japanese brands when comes to facial products and masks. I think it's just the trend. I always believe there are quality brands too produced by other countries.

Thanks to www.hawooo.com, I have the chance to try out this whitening mask from the brand called GSH. Hawoo.com is a website selling Taiwanese brands and aiming to provide trendy fashion and beauty products for Malaysians.

KOSÉ Lip Gel Magic - No More Lipstick Stains!

I am not a lipstick girl, I dislike the awkward and uncomfortable feeling to worry about my lipstick stain whenever I drink or eat. I was very reluctant to put on colour on my lips until KOSÉ team sent me a new and innovative product called LIP GEL MAGIC.

Hong Kong Travelogue Part II - Ngong Ping/ The Peak

This post was supposed to be up last week but my laptop just decided to die on me, luckily now I'm still able to use it but I'm certainly fighting with its final moments. Hopefully it can last longer than I think!! Anyway if you haven't already, read my Hong Kong Part I and Hotels Review.

Random but mandatory subway HK shoot!

We checked the weather forecast and went to Ngong Ping on a weekend. Weekdays are always better to avoid the crowd but it was raining and typhoon wasn't totally over. Like the last visit, we hopped on MTR to Tung Chung Station.

Digital Detox Update: Benefits & Apps to Use!

I know it's been a while to do this update but I figured I should! Checking back my "Blog-To-Do" and starting to clear off my posts one by one. You may read my first post at https://goo.gl/bqOu0q as introduction if you have no idea what it is!

"How I benefited from Digital Detox"
1. I exercise regularly
I was really lazy about exercising, not a fan to sweat at all. After digital detoxing, I managed to keep up with my exercise routine at least twice a week. I usually do treadmills and swim. I'm surprise at myself to manage to keep up this good habit. It was hard at first, but after doing it for months, my body starting to like the routine and feel weird for not exercising.

2. I'm more organized
I was a very messy person before. I didn't how to organize my belongings, nor keeping up with my own life schedule. I was that kind of person who just do things I feel like doing at that time. By replacing my waiting time to organizing stuffs, I slowly learn how to organizing things. When I wait for my housemates or friends to head out for dinner, I use that time to organize a corner of my house than scrolling my phone, I'm using a planner to plan my schedule too!

3. I read books
I was only a text book person before, I wasn't interested in reading anything. By having more time to myself, I read. The first book I started was "A Monk Who Sold His Ferrari" by Paulo Coelho. I've been reading ever since then, mostly inspirational books.

4. I have better sleep and manage to wake up earlier
You probably heard about the blue light of gadgets that affect sleeps, and it is real! Cutting off the usage of gadgets before sleep helps in better sleep. Better still, replace your bed time routine from "Facebook" reading to "Real book" reading. You will see how it does the wonder to your life.

5. I'm more efficient at work and study
I am more concentrate in my work, study and piano practice.

"Apps I used"

I didn't use any apps for my second Digital Detox. The second time wasn't as hard as the first time, all I need is a strong mind. "Do I have to use my phone now?", "Is it necessary?", I'll ask myself questions like that. As I love to watch interesting K-dramas like many other girls do, I'll limit myself to only 1 Korean dramas to follow at the same time. Well we certainly still need some entertainment time. :)

1. Android products
Apps: "Break Free"

2. Apple products

Apps: "Moment"

Both apps track the total time and summary of your phone usage (eg: how much time you spend on Facebook, Instagram, games etc...). Try download and track your phone usage time, you'll be surprised! You'll realize the phrase we often hear: "no time to do this" or "no time for exercise" were all just excuses. You can read my how I used the apps in detail on my dayre on Day 250, 7th Sep 2015 or direct link > https://dayre.me/emmz_s/oKHW9Lnpgj.

5 Things You Should Know Before Creating A Blog/ Website

Hello there! Sorry for the MIA! I wasn't slacking nor procrastinating on blogging during this period of time. In fact, I was spending more time than usual on my blog. Some of you might have known that I've started to blog with my own domain 3 months ago, since then I encountered lots of issues. My friend who is a programmer had been very kind in helping me in creating the website but we were facing problems every now and then. Then he was busy with exams and work. Whereas for me, I can't do any editing but to only wait for him because I'm unfamiliar with that particular blogging platform.

At the end, we decided to change to another blogging platform that I'm more familiar with. It took me 3-4 days to complete the transition. So I think I should share some of my experience!

"What You Should Know Before Creating A Blog/ Website?"

1. Pick a user-friendly blogging platform.
Try choosing an user-friendly blogging platform and do some research before you started. My suggestion would be WordPress, Blogger and Wix. User friendly site = less headache.

2. Pick a good web hosting company for your domain.
If you're looking to get your own domain, pick a good hosting company. My hosting company is Serverfreak and I would say their customer service is very helpful and super responsive. Most of the time my programmer friend is busy and I had to reach out for their customer service for help, and they helped me solve in almost every issues I requested!

3. Pick a capable, responsive and responsible programmer.
If you want to have a lot of customization for your blog, you need a web programmer. Carefully choose a responsible programmer at a reasonable rate. Remember to request for monthly web maintenance too, you never know when you need a hand.

4. How much time and effort are you willing to manage your own blog?
I spent 3-4 days in transferring my blog to this new blog platform, and almost 2 weeks in customizing on my own. Well of course I did continue with my piano practice/ lessons, study and work but I couldn't write a new post with my undone blog. When I did the customization myself, my friend asked me: "you know how to customize your blog with coding???". It was a torture for me to do all the customization work on my own with my limited programming knowledge from my college days, but no one else will be helping me if I don't do it myself.

Ask yourself if you're willing to sacrifice your sleeps or friend hang-out before getting started.

5. Consistency in blogging.
Then comes the hardest part - the consistency in blogging. Like any other part time bloggers, I thought of quitting in blogging. It wasn't as easy as I'm a stay-in girl who likes to practice the piano with comfy clothes. The photo-taking, make up, editing and writing took quite a bit of time for me to deliver a quality post. But I've came up with a new goal to go along with blogging and it motivates me to be more dedicated to my blog! Yes some exciting news on the way so stay tune! :)

My 10 Tips for Healthy Hair & Hair Fall Remedies!

People often ask me, why I never consider colouring my hair. Even hairstylists from hair salons frequently ask whether my hair is virgin. LOL, they call chemical free hair virgin and yes, I never done any chemical damages to my hair.

I care about my hair a lot, I could never stand of any damages caused to my precious hair and I couldn't bear hair fall, not even a strand of it. I get very heartache when I see my hair falling on the ground especially when shampooing and hair drying.

Even so, I couldn't skip swimming after I moved into my new apartment. I swim averagely 3 times a week. Anyway I've consulted hairstylists and they told me that the damages of the chlorine in the swimming pool isn't as bad compared to chemical damages to the hair. These few tips are the ones I use to take care of my hair!

Quick Fix For Pores - B.liv Deep Impact Review

I've this habit to always apply mask after exfoliating because most of the exfoliating products are too dry for my skin. When I get lazy on my weekly skin pampering routine, my pores get clogged up very bad. Until recently I discovered this 2-in-1 cleanser (Cleanser + Exfoliater) - B.liv Deep Impact, my deep pores cleansing routine became easier and my pores thank me for that!

This B.liv Deep Impact is a deep pores cleansing and massage emulsion. I could skip the cleansing step when I'm using this product, it's generally a creamy/ milk type cleanser with beads. So I call it a 2-in-1 cleanser.

Shop Your Cashback!

As an introvert myself, I prefer shopping online. Truth to be told, most of the time I find the pricing in most of the online shopping sites much cheaper than then ones we can get from the actual store. And when I first learnt about this site, ShopBack is a cashback site for online shopping,I didn't believe that we can get our cash back by just shopping? It just doesn't make any sense to me. Until one of my friend who's a hardcore online shopper explained to me how it works, it's actually a win-win for both ShopBack and the online shoppers!

HONG KONG Part 1 - Times Square/ Meeting with HK Star/ Avenue of Stars

This was my second visit to Hong Kong city. This time we weren't as lucky because the typhoon was just over, the city was either raining or sun was burning up in the sky. So our itinerary on the first two days was just visiting shopping malls, or strolling around the busy streets.

But we were lucky during our visit to Times Square at Causeway Bay, there were some sort of exhibitions going on! :)

Xiang asked me a few times what were all those zodiac warriors were but honestly, I have no idea, pictures first and answer later! Now I know that was 30th Anniversary of SAINT SEIYA. They are the Knights of the Zodiac, Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masami Kurumada.
