The 2-in-1 Cleanser: Neutrogena Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil to Foam

Cleansing is very important in my skincare regime, I might skip skincare once in a while when I'm lazy but I never skip the cleansing step. My skincare philosophy is always...

"Clean skin = Healthy skin"

Thanks to Neutrogena I get to try out their Deep Clean Hydrating range targeting for dry skin. I've been trying 3 products from this range for more than a week.

Both of the foaming cleanser and scrub are gentle for the skin. They cleanses well while not stripping the moisture away off my face, leaving my skin hydrated.

My favourite product from this range is Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil to Foam!

I was actually quite confused when I first get this product, what does it mean by "Oil to Foam"? Is it cleansing oil? Or cleansing foam? How does it work?

So I read the product description, it's actually a make-up remover AND a foam cleanser. Instead of double cleansing with 2 products, we could remove our make-up and wash our face with just this 1 bottle!

Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil to Foam 142ml (RM 44.90)

• For dry skin - With Cucumber extract that helps hydrate and refresh the skin, leaving it soft, supple and healthy.

• Dual-transformation process (transform from oil-gel-cream-soft foam) can be effective and gentle on skin and easily rinsed off, leaving no residue and helping skin feel clean and healthy

• Oil-gel contains Oleifera leaf extract to gently remove all traces of day makeup, dirt and oil in one wash.

I've actually tried quite a few 2-in-1 cleansers before, they are either oil-based or foam-based. This is the first product I've tried claims to be in both oil and foam based.

Let's try it with me with a waterproof eyeliner!

13
With just a tiny drop,

14gently massage onto the make-up.

15

1st step:
(oil cleansing step)

Massage onto the make-up without water, like how we use our cleansing oil to remove makeup. The texture appeared to be light and more gel-like compare to regular cleansing oil. The foam started to form even without water after 1-2 min of massaging!

2nd step:
(foam cleansing step)

Emulsify with water, more foam generated and this is our second step of cleansing - foam cleanser!

16
After done emulsifying and cleansed my skin with enough foam, I just rinse it off with water.

17
Sparkling clean!

I've been doing 2 steps cleansing for years now and I always need 2 products. To be honest, I never trust any 2-in-1 cleanser, I will still be doing 2 steps cleansing even with 2-in-1 cleansers. I was skeptical about this "Oil to Foam" cleanser like other 2-in-1s too but I was amazed by its technology. It actually able to turn from oil-based to foam-based!

And what's more? I was ready to remove my stubborn waterproof eye make-up after trying it for the first time, but there's no residue left! Even with the regular step of make-up removing - (eye make-up remover + cleansing oil + foam cleanser), I often get this ''panda eyes" because I didn't remove them completely but this just cleanse off everything! The best part is it doesn't irritates my eyes at all.

It has very light scent with some ocean and floral taste, and I really love its packaging with the pump. With my regular make-up, I usually use only 2-3 pumps. Now my cleansing routine is reduced from 2 products to 1, time-saving and cost effective which is highly recommended for modern and busy girls like me!

There are another two range for this product: regular and brightening. I find this hydrating range is just right for my skin, my skin feel soft and supple after using. They are available at most of the pharmacy stores like Guardian, Caring and Watsons.

love, Emma
